Gil is a vegetarian, and likes chocolate, cream and her dog.

Gil only owns one bass guitar now - the neck is so long, she can't reach the end!

Gil's Birthday is on 15th February.

Gil says that Denise (Dufort) used to have some unusually named pets....

A blue budgie called "Pinkie"

A green budgie called "Bluey"A black and white cat called "Ging"(er)

A ginger cat called "Sooty"

And - wait for it - a Persian Blue cat called "Bluey"!!!

Kim's Birthday is on 13th May

Lemmy (Kilmister) of Motörhead fame, was one of Girlschool's exponents and Girlschool often toured with them.  Lemmy used to live on a houseboat in Chelsea that was once owned (or lived in) by  Hank Wangford a.k.a. "The Singing Gynaecologist"

Gil is incensed by the fact that knicker manufacturer's insist on putting (I quote) "non-functional" bows on the knickers they sell!!

Gil once tried to do a favour for a friend in another group.  When she was recording with Girlschool, she offered to copy one of their master tapes to a cassette (to make a demo tape).  She loaded the tape up on the equipment and subsequently forgot how to operate it!  The result of which was that every time she pushed the buttons (of which I am assured there were several!) it severed the master tape.  She ended up with a lot of bits of tape strewn around her!  Luckily, the Tour Manager (Tim) came back to see how she was doing and rescued her from certain death by splicing and editing the tape back together again!  The tape was successfully repaired and copied over to cassette!!

Kelly's (the late Kelly Johnson) Birthday was on 20th June.

Enid's Birthday is 28th April

Denise's Birthday is on 18th October

When asked about her favourite Girlschool album, Gil says that 'Play Dirty' was her favourite.  When asked why, she said "that was the album that Slade played on and they [Girlschool] don't sound like the Chipmunks or Pinky & Perky!"  Her other favourites are 'Screaming Blue Murder' and 'Nightmare at Maple Cross' - in that order.
