Birthdays:
Girlschool started (as Painted Lady) in 1975. That means (in theory) that Girlschool have been an active band for over 33 years!! That makes them the longest running Girl Rock band in Britain!
Jax was in a lot of bands before joining Girlschool in 1999 - her first band was called "The Parasites" (with her younger brother on bass), then "Deja Vu" (she moved to London with them, but they split up soon), then she joined the band "Bleech" before forming an all-girl one called "Virago".. in 1995 she met Kim and the rest is The School story, however, beside Girlschool, Jackie also plays in Blitzkrieg the punk band.

The band's 'classic' lineup was the line-up that lasted 1978-1982. 'Classic' members are mentioned in bold. Unlike many heavy metal bands, Girschool never had a permanent lead vocalist, except for a brief 1985 period, with Jackie Bodimead as vocalist. Vocal duty was shared amongst Enid Williams, Kim McAuliffe, and to a lesser extent, Kelly Johnson.
