Girlschool
Gil joined Girlschool as bassist to replace Enid Williams after their tour of Japan in 1982. She stayed with Girlschool for five years, recording the Screaming Blue Murder, Play Dirty, Running Wild and Nightmare At Maple Cross albums.
She left Girlschool in 1987 to marry (to become Ghislaine Weston-Jones) and to take up a career in engineering and the NHS.
